Brothers...
Wednesday night I was running behind in getting ready for church, so I asked Adam if he would like to take a bath with Tate. He got all excited, and got into the baby bath! I was going to have Adam in the big bath, and Tate in the baby bath, but this was too cute to pass up! Not sure how much time I saved, since I had to take pictures, but it was fun!

A promise fulfilled
Last year, on January 24th, I had a miscarriage. As I was laying in bed with my feet up, waiting to know for sure what was going on, a friend called Aaron asking if he knew where a certain verse in the Bible was. Aaron said he didn't know exactly, but he knew ballpark where it was, so he started looking for it. He couldn't find it. But the verse that just jumped out at him was this:
II Kings 4:16 "About this time next year", Elisha said, "You will hold a son in your arms."
When we got out the concordance and found the verse he was looking for, it was just a few verses down in the same chapter. Aaron felt like this was God's promise to us. Of course, he didn't share it with me until it was a sure thing that we had lost our baby. I won't go into all of the emotions, but let me say that God is faithful!!! 3 months later, on Mother's Day, I found out I was pregnant again. And then, 9 months later, on January 7th, "About this time next year", our precious Tate Nathaniel was born. God is so good!
Nathaniel means "Gift of God", and that is what Tate is. He is our promised son, our precious gift. Thank you, Jesus!

"I am a moose, and Baby Tate is a bear"
Adam sure loves his little brother! He asks to hold him all the time, and if Tate is upset about something, he gets close to him and says things like, "I know, honey. It's ok. I wuv ya, Baby Tate." One of the most common things he tells me, though, is "Baby Tate doesn't like his diaper changed." He's right! ;)
Adam thought it was pretty cool that they both had sleepers. He says, "I am a moose, and Baby Tate's a bear!"

Merry Christmas!
Christmas was a little different this year, since Aaron was working both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Since he gets home around 2:00, though, we were still able to celebrate in the evening with family. In going through my pictures, I realized we have no posed pictures, and not a lot of variety. Sorry!
Christmas Eve we were at Aaron's parent's house. We had a big breakfast for dinner, and opened gifts.
Christmas Day, evening, we were at my parent's house. We opened more gifts, and had yummy lasagna rolls for dinner.
